Schwartz Reply

A while ago I wrote about how Schwartz herb and spices jars are rubbish, being actually designed in a way to make impossible to take the contents out of the jar by the most common method of measurement for herbs and spices – a teaspoon. Well I wrote them a letter asking why this is, and here’s their reply:

So apparently a metal spoon would somehow contaminate or get moisture the spices, where as holding it over a steaming pan of food will not. It all makes sense now.

I feel like a counter letter should be written. This is craziness at the circus!

This is an outrageous response. Anyone who doesn’t want to risk herb contamination should just take more care. It’s not Schwartz’s place to inconvenience their customers to protect the purity of their precious herbs!
Grrrrrrr! I’m boycotting them.
